ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars backup running back Rashad Jennings’ return is questionable after he hurt his knee in the first quarter of a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.
Jennings was hurt on the Jaguars’ opening series Saturday. Attempting to make a catch in the left flats, Jennings dropped the pass after being hit immediately by Bills cornerback Drayton Florence.
Jennings was starting in place of Maurice Jones-Drew, who missed his third preseason game. Jones-Drew is gradually working his way back after having offseason surgery on his right knee.

(ESPN & Sporting News) The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to a six-year deal with Paul Posluszny, the linebacker’s agent Mike McCartney told ESPNNewYork.com’s Mike Mazzeo.
Posluszny, a 2007 second-round draft pick out of Penn State, completed his four-year contract in 2010 with the Buffalo Bills. He will turn 27 in October.
Posluszny labored with the decision, a source said, because he wanted to stay with the Bills. He decided on the Jaguars because of the chance to play middle linebacker in a 4-3 defense. The Bills have switched to a 3-4.
After missing much of his rookie season with a broken arm, he was a three-year starter at linebacker for Buffalo.
He led the Bills with 151 tackles last season.
Meantime, reports are the Bills have landed a much-needed backup for starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Dolphins free agent Tyler Thigpen has agreed to terms on a three-year contract with Buffalo.
The move puts Thigpen in a very familiar system under Bills coach Chan Gailey. Thigpen found success as an NFL QB as the primary starter for the Kansas City Chiefs when Gailey was their offensive coordinator in 2008.

Former Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders(notes) has visited with the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason to see if he can dig up a job and the New York Post reports that he did the same with the New York Jets yesterday.
The big test for the oft-injured Sanders, who was the 2007 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is if he can pass the physical. The paper reports that he has “apparently” done that for his previous two suitors this offseason.
Unfortunately, as the Post points out, since the 30-year-old won that award, Sanders has only “managed to play in nine regular-season games.” Last season he left the opener with a torn left biceps tendon and was done for the year.

Safety Bob Sanders(notes) has spent seven seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and gone to two Pro Bowls. He also took home the 2007 Defensive Player of the Year. But he’s had a rough couple of years, going onto injured reserve during the last two seasons.
The team released him and now he’s moving on. NFL.com reports that Sanders paid a visit to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday and he’ll meet with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday. Two of Buffalo’s safeties, Donte Whitner(notes) and backup George Wilson(notes), the site points out, will become unrestricted free agents later this offseason.
Sanders has 290 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and six interceptions in his career.

According to the Florida Times-Union, free-agent SS Bob Sanders, who visited the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, will visit the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.
The Jaguars could be looking for competition at the strong safety position. Former undrafted free agent Courtney Greene started 14 games for the Jaguars last season.
Bills starting SS Donte Whitner is unsigned, so the team could view Sanders as his potential replacement.
Sanders, who was released by the Indianapolis Colts last week, played in nine regular season games over the past three seasons. He was signed through the 2012 season. He carried a base salary of $5.5 million for 2011 and $7 million for 2012. He also had $500,000 in workout bonuses in each of those two seasons. He missed all but one game last season due to a biceps injury.
Sanders, who turns 30 later this week, started 46 of 48 career games, totaling 373 career tackles, 3.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, three fumbles recovered, two fumbles forced and six interceptions. He earned NFL Defensive Player-of-the Year honors from the Associated Press in 2007. Sanders earned Pro Bowl honors for the 2005 and 2007 seasons.
Sanders was originally selected in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Colts.
