Read More: Aaron Kampman (DE – JAC), Guy Whimper (OT – JAC), Matt Roth (DE – JAC), Clint Session (LB – JAC), Brian Robiskie (WR – JAC), Derek Cox (CB – JAC), Terrance Knighton (DT – JAC), Tyson Alualu (DT – JAC), Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off their loss to the Cleveland Browns a bit banged up on the defensive side of the football. Starting linebacker Clint Session was placed on injured reserve yesterday, suffering his second concussion of the season. Defensive end Matt Roth also left the Browns game with a “head” injury, presumed to be a concussion. The Jaguars were also without defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, still dealing with an ankle injury. On the practice field today, both Knighton and Roth were held out of practice.

Two other Jaguars defensive players were limited today as well, in defensive tackle Tyson Alualu and cornerback Derek Cox. Alualu has been dealing with a knee injury and his been limited every Wednesday of the season. Cox, was listed as having a knee injury he likely suffered during the game against the Browns.

Defensive end Aaron Kampman (hamstring), wide receiver Brian Robiskie (hamstring), and offensive tackle Guy Whimper (thigh) were also all limited in practice.

Jaguars On Road To Take On Winless Colts

Jags’ Kampman cleared but unlikely to make 2011…

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Aaron Kampman has been cleared to play, but coach Jack Del Rio said he likely will hold him out until next week.

Del Rio said Kampman, who missed the first four games while recovering from a knee injury, would play against Cincinnati “if we have someone who slips on a banana peel between now and Sunday.” If not, then Kampman will make his season debut next week at Pittsburgh.

The Jaguars will be without cornerback Derek Cox (groin) and special-teams ace Montell Owens (knee). Receiver Kassim Osgood (hamstring), tight end Zach Miller (shoulder) and offensive lineman Jason Spitz (quadriceps) are doubtful.

Kampman and safety Courtney Greene (neck) are questionable. Defensive tackle Tyson Alualu (knee) and left tackle Eugene Monroe (shoulder) are probable.
